A silent place, away from the noise of Cacilhas. This architectural object is meant for the study of Tejo’s estuary wildlife. Since the moment you enter the building a journey by the river species starts. In order to study the river’s wildlife, the building was located next to centre of the estuary. Surrounded and isolated by water, it looks like a boat, making you remember the local history, honouring the marine vehicles. It was also made as an interpretation of the fishing nets and a connection with bird’s nets, to create a grid outside the object. Besides the support of the structure, it is also close to the shore, in order to make the accessibility easier.
